Unit class


The stats below provide the information for each unit’s class, operational range and damage points. There are 4 unit types: infantry (class 1-5), cavalry (class 6-8), artillery (class 9), and generals (class 10). Infantry includes militia, line, light, elite, and guard infantry. Cavalry consists of light, medium, and heavy cavalry. Artillery batteries have 2 long range guns and 1 howitzer. Unit names and stats are found under the folded display. Units' starting range is their position in a square, and this range can be used to move or engage in the battlefield.

Unit class and defense valor

Units in the game are classified by role, valor, and attacking strength (class number) and defense valor (lifespan). The unit display shows the nation's flag, class number, and defense valor. Higher class numbers mean greater charging damage. Use the dice for cannonades and musket fire damage outcomes. Units within the same class may vary based on historical battlefield value.


Damage influence over attacking points

Damage affects attacking points for units class 5 and above. Infantry and cavalry lose 1 damage point when charging for every 2 damages taken. Artillery loses 1 battery (1 fewer artillery die throw) for each damage taken. Units below class 5 remain unaffected.
